Dedicated volunteers have been supporting the Foundation for Indigenous Sustainable Health (FISH) for over 7 years.  Currently, we have over 10 volunteers who help to strengthen and enhance the quality of service we provide to Aboriginal Australians and their families.

No special skills are required to become a volunteer; you just need to be a caring person with some time to help those in need in your community.

FISH’s volunteers are an integral part of our organisation.  In return for their time and dedication, our volunteers benefit from:

  • The chance to meet lots of great people!
  • Working as part of a team
  • Helping to make a difference to other people’s lives
  • Assisting others to gain work experience, training and development

Please note that all volunteers need a police check and may require a working with children check. A working with children form can be found at any Australia Post.

The costs of these checks are reimbursed by Foundation for Indigenous Sustainable Health.
